Our Secret to Success: How We Maintained High Job Placement Rates in Tough Times

In recent years, the job market has been tough due to inflation and high energy costs due to continued wars and economic hits. These factors have resulted in a slowdown in IT hiring across various fields, including software development and software testing. As a result, graduates of software testing programs have faced difficulties securing employment in this competitive environment.

Despite these tough times, we've stayed dedicated to our students' success. We've put plans in place to make sure lots of them get good jobs. Here's how we did it, even when the job market was slow:

Focused on Small Class Sizes: We recognized the importance of personalized attention and communication in student success. Therefore, we decreased the number of registrations accepted into our program, opting for smaller class sizes of 10-30 people. This allowed for better interaction between instructors and students, providing an engaging learning environment.

Emphasized In-Person Participation: While online learning has benefits, we invested more in in-person participation to enhance student success. In-person classes offer opportunities for hands-on learning, immediate feedback, and collaborative problem-solving, all crucial for mastering automation tools and technologies.

Enhanced Our Teaching Team: We improved our team by adding expert instructors and mentors who are skilled in automation tools and technologies. These instructors provide high-quality education, guidance, and support to ensure that students receive the best possible training.

Updated Curriculum: To adapt to the changing world of automation testing, we made significant changes to our SDET Program curriculum. We shifted from teaching Java programming language with Selenium to cutting-edge tools like Cypress and Playwright, which are designed around JavaScript. This ensures that our students are equipped with the latest skills and technologies demanded by the industry.

Provided Ongoing Support: Our commitment to student success extends beyond graduation. We offer constant support and individual attention to students during their job search, assisting with resume building, interview preparation, and job placement.

The results speak for themselves. Despite the challenges of the job market, our last batch of SDET program graduates, who graduated on January 28, 2024, achieved a remarkable job placement rate of 75 percent within top IT companies in the US. This success is a result of our dedication to providing high-quality education and support to our students. The rest of the students are now in the interview stage and are likely to land jobs soon, adding to our already strong record of success.

Looking forward to our next programs, we welcome anyone to join us on this journey to success. With our track record and dedication to student success, we're sure you can reach your career goals with us.
